Pesto Flatbread Pizza #Recipe – Only 8 Points Plus!

The only food I’m totally obsessed with even more than pancakes is pizza. I could literally eat pizza daily, and I needed to find a lighter version so I wasn’t blowing all of my points plus on one slice of pepperoni pizza from a take out place! Thus, the Pesto Flatbread Pizza was born.

And all was right in the world.

Pesto Flatbread Pizza

  • 1 Flatout Light Italian Wrap
  • 1 tablespoon pesto spread (I use Buitoni)
  • 1/3 cup pizza blend cheese
  • any veggies your heart desires — I’m a mushroom gal!

Preheat oven to 350F. Spread pesto over entire surface of flatbread. Arrange veggies on your pizza, and top with cheese. Bake for 10 minutes, and follow up with the broiler at 525F for 2-3 minutes to make it niiiice and browned and bubbly!

The best part about this recipe is that you get to eat this entire pizza for just 8 Points Plus! Eat it with a cup of 0 Points Plus grapes and you’ve got a fresh and easy lunch. Ta da!

    • This looks amazing! I can see this with some red pepper and red onions along with the mushrooms. With meals like this (where I am piling on loads of veggies that aren’t really part of a “recipe”), I usually calculate the Points+ by excluding the zero Points+ veggies in the calculations. That way I can load it up with no guilt.

      By the way I highly recommend checking out Freckleberry Finds (see her note above). It’s a great site and Ashley has a very motivating story – great recipes :).

  3. I made this tonight for dinner. I used 1/4 cup of cheese and Racconto Traditional Basil Pesto and got the pizza down to 6 points plus! It was really good and I was so excited to be able to eat the whole thing. It kind of felt like I was cheating on my diet =)

      That is awesome Rachael! Anytime I am craving pizza I make this. It is filling and really yummy! I add a little extra cheese because I am a cheese kinda girl!

  5. If anyone has a superstore near them or Loblaws etc. In the organic section they have frozen flatbread pizza crust made out of flaxseed.

  7. Excellent way to eat pizza and keep the calories down. I love eating so much and I know with a few simple changes you can have your cake and eat it too !

  8. I just made this yesterday and it was pretty good! I loaded mine with tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and red peppers. A nice low-point WW meal. Thanks!
