Celebrate Earth Day with Crunchy and Glad Trash Bags

A few weeks ago, I had a chance to take a challenge from Glad Trash bags to reduce the amount of trash our family of five produced. It was a fun experience, and it even taught us that a green family like us could still improve how much we put into our garbage can each week!

We made reusable cloths, fun Earth Day crayons (that actually look like little Earths), and reignited our love for composting. (Yes, I know that’s a strange thing to love, but it makes my garden happy!) It was fun to pull the family in together to see how we could get creative to reduce our waste, plus make some really fun crafts together as a family.

If you guys would love to see how we did, want to learn how to make these adorable Earth Day crayons, or just want to see what the Crunchy family is up to, make sure to check out my Reduce, Reuse, Recycle post on Relish.com!

  1. I remember making those types of crayons when my sister and I were younger! My mom tried involving us in a lot of different arts and crafts and this was definitely a fun one :)

And you’re helping reduce waste and save the planet so it’s a win/win!
